JIKIDEN REIKI

We are very happy and proud to introduce the newest** addition to our Holistic program: Jikiden Reiki.

Reiki, the natural art of healing for the improvement of body & soul, taught in its original authentic Japanese form, by author and Reiki Master Frank Arjava Petter. Learn Reiki in its original beauty and simplicity: help your body “remember” how to heal itself, without external medical substances.

• Date: Thursday 25-September to Monday 29-September, 2008

• The workshop will take place on the beautiful island of Naxos, the biggest & greenest in the Cycladic group.

Natural beauty, the most magnificent beaches, ancient monasteries, and old Italian castles scattered throughout the island, remnants of the Venetians who fell in love with Naxos & declared it a Duchy of Venice back in the 1200’s.

The venue of the workshop will be Kamari Village. A group of individual villas, set up on a secluded hillside, overlooking the sea and the island of Paros. Private, quiet, serene and far away from it all. 17 kms (or 20mns drive) to Naxos town, with its many town-life attractions (tavernas, coffee shops, bars, and many beautiful shops) For more details on Naxos and on Kamari Village, go to http://www.kamarivillage-naxos.com

Accommodation will be based on two people sharing a 2bdrm/2bthrm villa, or three people sharing a 3bdrm/2bthrm villa, or one person in a 1 bdrm villa.

Each person will have their own double room with private bathroom. You can if you wish, share your room with a friend and share the cost between you.

Breakfast, lunch & a coffee brake, will be served daily throughout the 5-day workshop.

For dinner, you can stroll down to the local taverna right at the bottom of the hill.

On the last day of the workshop a celebration dinner will be organized in a local taverna, serving popular local dishes.

Basic Program:

- Wednesday Sept 24 (arrival) – Tuesday Sept 30 (departure) - Workshop : Thursday Sept 25 to & Monday Sept:29 inclusive Optional - Tuesday 30-Sept extension programme (3 days/nights) A detailed program of the Workshop as described by Sensei Frank Arjava Petter is shown on page 5). • NB - Workshop capacity: minimum 6 to maximum 10 participants. • Cost: 1,500 Euros/pp Includes: - Workshop Fee 5-day workshop culminating in Shoden & Okuden certificates: - Arrival transfer from airport/port to Kamari Village - 6 Nights accommodation (sharing villa, in private room w/own bathroom) - Breakfast, coffee break and lunch daily - Celebration dinner - Departure transfer Extension Program: If you wish to extend your stay and get a chance to discover the beauty of Naxos, you can join the 3-day extension program to tour the island. Depending on the number of participants, touring will take place in either a 6-passenger mini van or 2 smaller cars (to be hired).

Registration deadline: 30-April-2008 Dear Friends, Thank you for your interest in the Jikiden Reiki workshop. Workshop hours are 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. The workshop language is English. Every participant will receive 5 attunements from myself- one every day. You will learn the Reiki- Symbols in their original form. Upon completion of the workshop you will be given a certificate. “Jikiden Reiki” stands for Reiki Teaching from the original authentic Japanese lineage. This lineage goes from Dr. Hayashi to Mrs. Chiyoko Yamaguchi, Tadao’s mother, who learned Reiki in 1938. Because this lineage has not gone through Mrs. Takata, it lacks the Westernization of Reiki as it is taught in the Western World. You will experience Reiki in its original beauty and simplicity. The workshop is divided into two parts: Shoden (beginner degree- Reiki One) and Okuden (the middle degree- Reiki Two). Please find the course- description below.

Day 1, Shoden part 1

The History of Reiki. Usui Sensei's (venerable teacher) background, etc. The Background of Jikiden Reiki The Yamaguchis personal Reiki history as taught by Hayashi Sensei and Mr.Wasaburo Sugano (Chiyoko Yamaguchi’s uncle- Dr. Hayashi’s organizer). Chiyoko Sensei's life. The 4 main Objects of holding Jikiden Reiki seminars The meaning of the Gokai (the 5 Reiki- Principles). The current situation of Reiki in Japan Reiju (attunements) Reiki Mawashi (Reiki current) Reiki group- practice. All participants give and receive Reiki.

Day 2, Shoden Part 2

Chant the Gokai and Reiju Reiki Mawashi Review of day 1 Kokai Denju (Usui Sensei’s notes) Usui Sensei’s thoughts on Reiki. The power symbol. How and when to use it. Explanation of its meaning, and the origin of the symbol. Byosen (finding negatively charged body- areas). Together with the Reiki Principles, this is one of the most important aspects of Reiki. The Kekko Technique (Ketsueki Kokan). A massage technique favoured by Dr. Hayashi to stimulate the metabolism. Demonstration and practice.

Day 3, Shoden Part 3

Chant the Gokai and Reiju Reiki Mawashi Reiki Okuri (learning to perceive the flow of Reiki) How to make the hands sensitive. Perception- Training. Reiki practice

Day 4, Okuden Part 1

Review of day 1-3 Chant the Gokai and Reiju Reiki Mawashi Reiki Okuri Kokai Denju (from Usui Sensei's notes) How to use Reiki for psychological issues The mental- healing symbol. How and when to use it. Explanation of its meaning, and the origin of the symbol. How to use the symbol for physical problems (Mrs. Yamaguchi’s experience. Dr. Hayashi did not teach this).

Day 5, Okuden Part 2

Chant the Gokai and Reiju Reiki Mawashi Reiki Okuri The distant- healing symbol. How and when to use it. Explanation of its meaning, and the origin of the symbol. Enkaku Chiryo (Distant healing) Questions and Answers Certificate Ceremony Reiki practice
